we design a series voltage regulator with the following specifications
Vin=12-18v(unregulated)
Vo=6v(regulated dc)
IL(MAX)=500mA

Regulated output voltage: 6.444V
Line regulation:

= (6.489-6.444)/6*100
= 0.75%
Load regulation:

=(6.489-6.444/6.444)*100
= 0.698%
